Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit

A letter of credit is a formal written promise made by a financial institution to pay money to a third party. In the context of applications for review under the Employment Standards Act, 2000 and the Employment Protection for Foreign Nationals Act, 2009, letters of credit can be submitted to the Director of Employment Standards in trust.
