Establishing a Barrie Regional Innovation Centre Call for Proposals Submission Guidelines is to add a new RIC Program in Barrie, ON. Ontario’s Regional Innovation Centres (RICs) program includes a network of 16 non-profit organizations. Since the launch of the RICs program in 2010, these non-profit organizations have been dedicated to supporting regional development by helping innovative businesses start and grow.

Generally, wildlife cannot be kept in captivity in Ontario. There are some exceptions provided through authorization for persons who engage in approved activities. Persons may apply for a Wildlife Scientific Collector’s Authorization to capture, kill, temporarily possess, and/or release wildlife for educational or scientific purposes. It is illegal to have a loaded firearm in or on, or discharge a firearm from, an aircraft, vehicle (including snowmobile and all-terrain vehicle) or motorboat. This form(s) is the application to request an authorization from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, to having a loaded firearm in a vehicle or motorboat if a person suffers from a severe disability that prevents them from hunting except while using a wheelchair or similar means of locomotion including vehicles and motorboats; and is unable to safely dismount the stationary vehicle (including a wheelchair) or motorboat to discharge a firearm. This licence is required for individuals to keep, propagate, buy and sell game birds in captivity for the purposes of supporting hunting (e.g., game bird hunting preserves, train and trial, municipal programs) or for personal consumption. Game birds kept under this licence cannot be released without additional authorization. Applicants must submit a complete licence application indicating which species of game birds they are seeking authorization to keep before acquiring any birds.

Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) programs promote wellness, social interaction, and education to help seniors stay active, independent, and engaged. Ontario is expanding the SALC Program in 2024-25 and inviting organizations to submit proposals to launch a new SALC program. The guidelines provide information to support organizations in completing their applications before Sept 12, 2024, at 5 p.m. ET.

The Lincoln M. Alexander Award commemorates the legacy of Ontario’s 24th Lieutenant Governor by recognizing three young people who have shown strong leadership in eliminating racial discrimination. Prior to beginning alterations to an existing dairy plant, an "Application for a Permit to Construct or Alter a Building Intended for Use as a Dairy Plant - for Existing Licensed Plants" must be completed and submitted and approved by the Director. This application must demonstrate, through drawings and other information as necessary, that the alterations to the plant will meet the regulatory requirements under the Milk Act (Ontario). In some cases an “Application for an Amended Licence for the Operation of a Dairy Plant” may also be required.
