Resident trappers are required to obtain the written permission of landowners upon whose land they wish to trap. The Landowner - Trapper Agreement form should be used by trappers to document written permission to trap on private land. This completed form may be requested by the ministry before the ministry will make any consideration of issuing a resident trapping licence to a person. Information submitted through this form may assist in assignment of harvest quotas for some species.

A Development Permit is an authorization required by section 24 of the Niagara Escarpment Planning and Development Act (NEPDA) for development proposed on properties that fall within a specific area prescribed in R.R.O. 1990 Regulation 826.
A permit is required to ensure that any proposed development maintains the Niagara Escarpment and surrounding lands substantially as a continuous natural environment, and that only development compatible with that natural environment is allowed.
This permit requires consideration of the potential impacts of a development activity, such as a physical development or undertaking or to initiate a change in use of a property or structure, on the natural and scenic values of the Escarpment environment.

A foster caregiver is a person who acts as an agent under a wildlife custodian authorization by providing supplemental care of wildlife on the foster caregiver’s own premises. An application is required to make changes to the species of milk used, type of plant, milk class or subclass at a licenced dairy plant receiving cow milk. Details of these changes are provided in Regulation 761, s.96(2) under the Milk Act (Ontario).
