Under the ESA, employers who are terminating 50 or more employees at an establishment in a 4-week period are required to submit the completed Form 1 to the Director of Employment Standards, to post a copy of the completed Form 1 in the workplace and to provide a copy of the completed Form 1 to each affected employee. Notice of mass termination does not begin until the Director receives the completed Form 1.
This form will be used to evaluate requests for approval of a plan for the combined assessment of modelled and monitored results including the use of meterological data for the purpose of refining emissions rates used in the analysis under paragraph 3 of s.11(1) of Ontario Regulation 419/05
All owners of the “mechanical plants” should make R1 submissions. A “mechanical plant” maybe subject to a discharge limit or objective that goes beyond the “conventional” parameters listed on the R1 form. In that case, the information would be entered on the R2 form.
