The Lieutenant Governor's Community Volunteer Award for Students pays tribute to students who not only complete the required number of volunteer hours to graduate, but who go above and beyond. Each year, an award is given to one graduating student at each of Ontario's secondary schools.

To be used by MCI to contact three areas within the MOL to check that investors or employers applying for Opportunities Ontario are not violating provincial employment standards, or health and occupational safety codes, as well as ensure that there are no related labour disputes.

To recognize outstanding seniors who, after age 65, have made significant contributions to their communities.

To recognize individuals and groups for superlative volunteer contributions to their communities and to the province of Ontario. Up to 20 individuals and/or groups receive this award each year.
