Senior Active Living Centre (SALC) programs promote wellness, social interaction, and education to help seniors stay active, independent, and engaged. Ontario will be expanding the SALC Program in 2023-24 and inviting organizations to submit proposals to launch a new SALC program, in a municipality that does not already have an existing SALC program and has a demonstrated need.

Amendments to Regulation 854 for Mines and Mining Plants made under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, which came into effect on January 1, 2012, included changes to the medical certificate prescribed under section 238 of the regulation. Under these provisions, operators of mine hoists are required to undergo a yearly medical examination by a physician. The certificate, which is completed by the physician, provides a convenient way for stakeholders to comply with these requirements. The certificate will take less than five minutes to complete.
A Management Plan must be submitted when a person applies under s. 17(1) of the Substitute Decisions Act, 1992 to replace the Public Guardian and Trustee as an incapable person's statutory guardian of property (using Form 1). The Management Plan is also required in court applications for the appointment of a guardian of property. The Management Plan sets out the applicant's plan for managing the property of the incapable person.
Resident trappers are required to obtain the written permission of landowners upon whose land they wish to trap. The Landowner - Trapper Agreement form should be used by trappers to document written permission to trap on private land. This completed form may be requested by the ministry before the ministry will make any consideration of issuing a resident trapping licence to a person. Information submitted through this form may assist in assignment of harvest quotas for some species.
Individuals interested in applying for an Apprentice Falconry Licence must arrange to be sponsored by a holder of a General Falconry Licence or Commercial Falconry Licence who has a least five years’ experience as a trainer, hunter, keeper and handler with raptors.
