The Ministry collects personal information contained in your complaint under the authority to collect personal information, directly or indirectly, in subsection 70 (1) of the CCEYA and subsection 51.1(2) of the Early Childhood Educators Act, 2007 (ECEA). The primary purpose for the Ministry’s collection of this information is to administer and ensure compliance with the CCEYA, the ECEA and their regulations.
Your name and contact information will remain confidential and will not be shared with the child care provider, program, or agency unless required by law.
General details from your complaint (excluding your personal information), such as the nature of the concern, may be shared or discussed with the provider, program, or agency as part of the follow-up process.

Under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 a person who has been issued a Notice of Administrative Penalty may request a review of the notice in a form approved by the Minister. The authority to approve these forms has been delegated to the Director of Child Care Branch.
Requirement under section 16 of the Education Act for private schools to submit a notice of intention to operate annually to the Ministry of Education by September 1. Submission of the form triggers registration for all private schools and inspection for those wishing to grant credits towards the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
The purpose of the Private Schools Inspection Report is to provide private schools with a report following a school visit and inspection by the Private School Inspectors. The report identifies issues of non-compliance and provides the school with recommendations on how to improve by their next scheduled inspection.
