The Lieutenant Governor's Community Volunteer Award for Students pays tribute to students who not only complete the required number of volunteer hours to graduate, but who go above and beyond. Each year, an award is given to one graduating student at each of Ontario's secondary schools.
To recognize youth and adult volunteers for continuous years of commitment and dedicated service to an organization.
To recognize individuals and groups for superlative volunteer contributions to their communities and to the province of Ontario. Up to 20 individuals and/or groups receive this award each year.
