As a police officer in the province of Ontario appointed pursuant to the Interprovincial Policing Act, 2009, you must comply with the Interprovincial Policing Act, 2009, the Police Services Act, and the following regulations under the Police Services Act:

Pursuant to the Equipment and Use of Force Regulation you may not use force on another person unless you have successfully
completed a training course on the use of force.
Pursuant to the Equipment and Use of Force Regulation you may not carry a firearm unless you have successfully completed a training
course on the use of firearms in the previous twelve months.
You engage in a suspect apprehension pursuit described in section 1 of the Suspect Apprehension Pursuits Regulation.

Note: the appointing official shall not authorize the appointee to engage in a suspect apprehension pursuit unless the appointee has (i) completed training in motor vehicle pursuits, and (ii) the ability to notify a dispatcher for the police service having jurisdiction in the area where the pursuit take place when the appointee initiates the pursuit.

You exercise the authority of a police officer or a provincial offences officer to enforce the laws of Ontario.

Note: the appointing official shall not authorize the appointee to exercise the authority of a police officer or provincial offences officer to enforce the laws of Ontario unless the appointee has received training with respect to any Ontario laws that the appointee might be required to enforce.
